Frequently asked questions
Is this LinkedIn post formatter really free?
Yes. Format, preview and copy your text for free, without creating an account. PostBoom’s scheduling service is a separate paid product.
Do I need to create an account?
No account or LinkedIn connection is needed. Your text is processed in this browser, not sent to a formatting server. Copy it when you are finished; your draft is not saved after a reload.
Will the formatting work on LinkedIn?
Bold and italic styles use Unicode characters that you can copy and paste as text. They are not native rich-text formatting. Appearance varies by device and font, and some assistive technologies may read these characters differently. Use styled text sparingly, and keep names, links and hashtags in plain text.
What types of formatting are supported?
Use bold, italic, bullet points and numbered lists. Select text to style just that part, or apply a style to the entire post. Clear formatting converts this tool’s bold and italic characters back to plain text.
Is the LinkedIn preview exact?
No. This is an approximate layout to help you review spacing and structure. Actual fonts, line wrapping and the “see more” cutoff can differ on LinkedIn. Check the final post on LinkedIn before publishing.
